I am Julián Martínez.

Community members are escorted out of the PUBLIC County Council Meeting by Law Enforcement for expressing concerns about prime space in their public library being leased to a private Catholic University.
In 2023, community members became aware that within just five days time the County Council was voting on a proposed lease between a private religious tax-exempt institution (Gannon University) without input or approval from tax payers. The lease grants Gannon the take over of 3200 sq feet of prime public space as well as access to substantial portions of the ONLY public library located within the city of Erie- the Raymond M. Blasco Memorial Library.
The Community members that did voice opposition and concern about the lease were silenced, and the lease was passed despite their continued protests. The Community members formed the group Keep Our Library Public to take legal action in defense of their public library.
Please help us continue to fight by screening and sharing our film Save Blasco! and by donating to our legal fund at www.keepourlibrarypublic.com
